Reminder for a Glowing Twenty Eighteen

It’s January. It’s the month of setting resolutions and goals. It’s the month when you get to set the tone for the year. So, while we’re gearing up to have a glowing 2018, why not get back to the basics and set a skin routine to get that perfect glow for your skin as well?

Here are some basic things that you need to stick by to have a glowing 2018 in the truest sense.

CTM

Cleansing-Toning-Moisturizing. Back to basics in the truest sense. We all start  this process religiously, but then tend to give up midway. If you’ve forgotten, let me quickly remind you of the benefits of CTM. Cleansing removes all the accumulated dirt and impurities of the day. Toning leaves your skin feeling hydrated. Moisturizing leaves it feeling nourished. You’ve got to feel it to know it. Start with this practice and see the magic for yourself.

More than coconut oil

You’ve heard that coconut oil is nourishing and that it leaves your skin feeling nourished and smooth. But hey, that’s not the complete truth. Coconut oil may not be suitable for all skin types and hence, it is recommended you use a non-alcoholic, less chemically-loaded cleansers to clean your makeup. Be wise and choose carefully.

Exfoliate

We have already highlighted the benefits of exfoliation in this blog. You need to exfoliate at least once a week and make it a regular habit. You’ve got to eliminate dead skin and make way for glowing, sparkling skin. Exfoliation also boosts blood circulation that leads to a healthier and happier you!
  
Sleep like a princess (but don’t wake up late)

It’s not called ‘beauty sleep’ for nothing. We can’t stress enough on how important it is to get the adequate amount of sleep everyday.. I mean, every night. Your skin repairs itself when you’re sleeping, and you certainly do not want to mess with that. Also, good sleep means no dark circles, no wrinkles, glowing skin, and a happier you! Why would you trade all of this for anything in the world? (Unless you’re a mum and your baby keeps you awake at night!) In that case, you can time your naps according to your baby’s sleep timings, but make sure you make it up for lost sleep.

Go make-up free at least once a week

Yup! Get rid of all the layers and filters and go make-up free at least once  a week. Let your skin breathe and live naturally. You may choose it to be a weekend, but what’s life if you don’t embrace yourself at your natural best? So, you should do this on a weekday too. The more you do it, the more confident you will feel in your skin and the happier and brighter you will be. So, go for it!
